2465B hybrid cleaning?
Jon, If you look at the hybrid you will notice one corner has an angle in the heat sink mold. This has to match the base you are reinstalling it it as it has an angle also. Review this before removing

Well I guess I won’t be receiving my book. That seems ridiculous that it’s not moving. There must be another issue. Maybe need to file a claim with USPS. Craig

I built a TM500 mainframe tester, and updated the design. Someone might find this useful?

Tek 465 S/N B299598 Slight Horizontal trace jitter
To clarify, when you say "jitter" I'm concluding that you mean the entire trace is randomly jumping in the vertical only? Your signal is triggering and the horizontal sweep is stable? Dave, Thank you

Dealing with a 465 scope that is having a condition on CH1 that the trace has a slight jitter to it. Less than .1 but it is annoying to me. Is visible when a signal is displayed or when the Attenuator

Another technique is to use ChipQuick, which is a very low melting point solder. Thanks I was unfamiliar with ChipQuik, Got some ordered from GoKimco. Sounds like this should help solve the issue. Cra

Replacing Can Capacitors 400 series scopes
To ensure that ALL the solder on both sides of the main board is molten, I used a Weller 100/140 gun along with the de-solder tip. Maybe add some chipquick to lower the melting point. Stock up on PCB
