That pattern detection sounds like optical deconvolution using shapes encoded into lenses, is that what you were doing? I think it was used for weapons targeting...

Tek style tiered knobs
I did notice the guitar style knobs. Unfortunately they have no indicators so it's hard to see where the lower knob is pointing. I always thought the sanest way of doing multi-tiered knobs was through
