465 - Successfully Replaced HV multiplier
Hey Dave, congrats on the fix, it's pretty gratifying to bring one of those old'uns back to life. Beware that it can be addictive - I managed to put the brakes on at 8 scopes or so after the first one

Oh, on sections: I wind the transformers in several sections, each separated with at least one wrap of tape. Taps get a layer of double stick scotch tape (archival), and primary ends with 3T of Kapton

Tek 465B ch 2 var broken coupler repair
Jeff, What you're describing doesn't sound terribly sacrilegious. I'm sure we've all seen far worse. I like your take that a glue repair lends itself to a deeper repair later. I presume you personally

2235 Horizontal Calibration Issue
Ozan, One side is at 8.5xxVDC and the other is a pt 8.6xxVDC... It’s definitely shorted. I’m guessing next is to replace it and go from there... Will do and report back.

Hi, When I got my 485, it came with a non original printed copy, but it did have the A2 size fold out schematic ms. A closer look suggests I have a Frankenstein manual: The replaceable electrical part

You're right of course, Chris, it's not a frequency meter. The specifications mention a readout accuracy of +/- (10 MHz + 1% of the dial readout). Raymond

International Orders for Peter Keller's book were MAILED TODAY
And mine arrived yesterday, here in the frozen tundra of Quebec, Canadaland. So much more better to read the physical copy than a PDF. Thanks again to Dennis for arranging and doing the legwork. wrote
