To Beeswax or not to Beeswax: that is the question.
Tektronix was surely a very minor user of beeswax for high voltage transformers. All TV's back in the 50's and 60's used beeswax transformers is far greater quantities and at higher voltages then the

Tek 576 Curve Tracer USB port to a cpu ... ?
GPIB requires logic circuits, generally a microprocessor, to operate. The 576 predates all of that, it certainly predates microprocessors.

More options for curve tracing
It seems that you could do the same thing with a HP 663X series of power supplies. With one supply you could plot 2 terminal devices and with a second supply you could do a full curve trace of 3 termi

Tek 576 Curve Tracer USB port to a cpu ... ?
In thinking about this I originally thought that you needed 4 quadrant supplies but you don't. A regular supply will do. By 4 quadrant I mean a device that can both supply and absorb power in a linear

Tek 576 Curve Tracer USB port to a cpu ... ?
The trace speed, 60 Hz, is way too fast for a mechanical plotter. All of that old equipment that could drive a plotter could be slowed down to the plotter speed, the speed of the 576 cannot be changed

I may be asking a dumb question, but why do you need a 576 if you want a curve tracer? Could you not do the same thing with 2 computer controlled power supplies? That and some software could character

The vintageTEK Museum needs your help
That is pretty clever. Perhaps scanning on a bed scanner is unlikely to produce usable results. What about these on eBay? https://www.ebay.com/itm/172002387526 or https://www.ebay.com/itm/232619073858
