465 display bad behavior
That is another point of failure. But the timing issues must be sorted out first of all. I have replaced the restorer diodes on a couple of scopes.

Did you check the ripple in each LV supply rail?

I have an elderly 465B recently it stopped working, only the power showed on. I checked the low power supply values and they all individually fluctuated between normal values and 10 or 20% below normal values
I would say your first place to look would be the bulk filter caps. Possibly one or more dipped tantalum caps.

Restoring damaged TM500 module front panel plastic trim
Since it is winter and I am more confined to the indoors, I am going to try my hand at OpenSCAD to convert my TM500 panel designs to a more flexible format. I originally produced my various TM500 pane

465 stored after no beam years ago
I would say, conservatively, 15-20 to 1 bulk filter caps or tantalum caps over HV failures.

sony/tek 468 is it rare?
If it was equipped with Factory Option 04, it could indeed still have the EMI mesh installed.

That is likely the expansion mesh in the CRT. There are no pixels as such. The 465B uses the same CRT.

7623A HV dead - how to troubleshoot it?
“I've a 465 for parts. My thoughts are to extract the HV transformer from that 465 and use it in place of the transformer currently under test.“ I did this exact test with a spare 475 HV transformer.

7623A HV dead - how to troubleshoot it?
Mine is >B200000 which uses the encapsulated Multiplier. These units use a slightly different schematic. I finally found the correct manual for this serial number unit.

When Attaching the 15v unregulated, I get excess current draw.

You can buy 1/8” green fiberglass rod on Amazon and EBay. Not expensive and very good substitute for original.

Since the +/- 18v winding is the source for the 15v + and - supplies, if the 15v is good, then the 18V built filter caps should be OK. The only reason for the 18v is as a source for 15v regulated supp

Scope Recommendations Please...
475, 475A or 485? Or if you don’t feel the need for 250-400MHz then a 465B would be my #1 pick. A good working 465B should easily exceed its specified 100MHz rating.

WTB Rear Corners for Tek 486
Steve, I will be willing to bet that Vintage Tek Museum could supply these. They have some parts units and have been supplying parts to others.

Need Guidance regarding HV transformer
The turns get larger as they come out from the start. We don’t know the diameters of the core or the windings. I figured between 50 and 100 feet just as a wild guess.
