Looking for a Tektronix 5030 or 5031
Thanks to Bob from the Tektronix Museum (https://vintagetek.org) I have now a scanned copy of the manual. Finally :) The donation charge was very reasonable. Many thanks!

RTM/TM 506 Fan replacement
I use two TM506. These fans are loud, but very much air flow. I have put a 40°C "Normally Off" Thermo switch in series, attached it to the cooling plate near by the fan. As long a I do not fully load

Older current probes with newer amplifiers?
I use the AM503 in a TM506 with as scope, oscillator and DMM inside, and it's just my standard test tool on the bench, and I love it. It's large size, but replacing that with loose instruments gives m

Tektronix 067-1338-0x calibration step generator for SD-series sampling heads
I see what you mean. Yes 20ps is really fast. I am sure that is usefull for some cases. The 33120A can never do that. I checked what the 33120A could do with my SC504 scope, which is 80mHz. The 33120A

Tektronix 067-1338-0x calibration step generator for SD-series sampling heads
I used an Agilent 33120A arbitrary waveform generator instead if a time mark generator. It costs less, and you can use it for many other things too. I don't know of there are any important differences

Tek R5030 refurb done, lots of interesting issues...fixing the fiber-optic readout
Jim, that sounds worth a try. If by any chance someone has a 5A22N for sale, please let me know.

Hallo Walter, I have been looking for an R5030 or 5031, just to get the 10uV sensitivity. I got the taste of this, from my HP130A oscilloscope, which can do 200uV differential, but absolutely humfree

Dave, for analysing electronic parts you need a device to analyse them, called a curve tracer. And for testing, a tube tester. The Roetest is one of the very few new products which work at full plate
