10:1 Voltage Divider using 9M Ohm Inline Resistor
Hi Richard, I do a lot of what you are describing with audio frequency amplifiers, and I think you are wise to set up a fixture to handle this as part of your bench standard setup. We wouldn't want to

13) 519 scopes going going gone to scrappers....
Besides those 519, I saw some 7000 series stuff, plus a 555 and other Tek plug ins. Most went for next to nothing. Well, maybe some Tek angel has saved them from ruin and harvesting, so it is possible

Looking for a 7233 tube valve
Hi Banjoman, A 7233 is basically half of a 6080. I see them in stock (NOS General Electric five star) here in the US at RF tubes, here: https://www.rfparts.com/tubes/7233-ge-low-mu-triode-tube-nos-nib

576 arrived with bad CRT... total dead end?
Hi David, I'm so very sorry to hear about your trouble. Believe it or not, I had a very similar experience with acquiring my 575. If it is any consolation, I paid EXTRA to have mine "professionally" b

Sanborn 350
Yes, HP bought Sanborn somewhere along the way. Doesn't surprise me that you can't find much. Sanborn was (according to HP folks) a pretty stodgy and not very well run company by the time HP got them.

Have I blown up my scope??
You are probably the coincidental recipient of the dreaded RIFA capacitor failure. "RIFA" is a brand of capacitors found in the RF filter section of the power supply input. I'm not going to go into it

...and if it is any consolation, my 2445b just blew a few months ago. It was the RIFA caps in the RF filter section. Was working fine. Turned it on. Smoke and stink and pfffffFFFFt! done.

Well, just really reaching here, but you say the new rectifier set blew? If so did you check C1021 / C1022? I know the fuse is "supposed" to blow first. Assuming you checked and the fuse rating is cor

575 frustration - V733 circuit
Hi Magnus, Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I should have been more clear. Cheap, poorly designed SMPS often ignore their responsibility not to pollute the electrical environment with radiated noise

575 frustration - V733 circuit
Hi Mark, Yes, I checked those resistors. The 2.5m string is good, but R737 is 11% out of spec @ 111.7k. I will replace it! Yes, just as you suggest I am also suspecting a bad germanium diode somewhere
