Caring for handles
Does anyone have any recommendations for keeping a good set of Tektronix 500 series handles in good shape? I believe they are leather, is that right? Wondering if anyone has already researched this or

Great video for 500 series Tek restorers
Yeah it will be interesting to see what it winds up going for. It can be fun watching the pricing play out. In the last few months I have seen them going from $250 for some to around $800 for others!

I personally don’t think Craig should quit
Also, I don't hear anyone reaching out to Peter Gotleib, who simply shared a short story about his 7000 series scope. He seemed like a very nice fellow and I appreciated his contribution! Do you think

I am not sure I understand what anyone said to make him feel unwelcome. People disagreed with his viewpoint, and I didn't notice anyone being rude. Do we all need to agree with each other all the time

Correct Silver solder
Tektronix in the 50's said the actual correct solder is 60% tin, 37% lead, and 3% solder. The details are highlighted in this video, made in the 50s by Tektronix, for soldering to ceramic strips. Here

Morning fun - working scope with no tubes?
Chuck, do you know if the Bugle Boy, etc, tubes were even used in the original builds, or what brand they used originally?
