Tek 475 with a strange trace
The instrument has a damaged CRT, most likely from being dropped, or otherwise impacted. I have seen a few CRT's with similar damage over the years. No solution other than replacement.

Tek 371a test bed needed??? Or not
There is a test fixture required; a large affair, with hinged cover, thick umbilical/connector, interlocks, jumper cables. Nearly impossible to find by itself, although you occasionally see a 371x orp

Tektronix 2465. Odd wave pattern superimposed on waveforms.
Sounds like ripple on one of the supplies. Have you checked with a scope?

What removes sticker residue without hurting the blue paint?
I use automotive "Wax and Grease Remover" obtained from an automotive paint supplier, it is used a prep agent just prior to painting. Works great for removing sticker residue, and other greasy stuff.

CSA803 power-on error E2131
Go to KO4BB.com, and in the Tektronix manuals section, find the 11801 factory diag. manual. That may provide some assistance.

2246A--Voltage Self Cal Failure
This is most likely caused by relay problems. I have had to replace relays on this and similar models several times, as they develop contact resistance problems. This can be done with the motherboard

Tek 1720 - Best way to remove anode connector
NO! Not at the CRT! There is a connector at the end of the red HV wire. It simply unplugs. Be sure to carefully discharge the CRT to the chassis. Don't let the exposed contact discharge to any circuit

Tek 547 HV Transformer needed, paging Chuck Harris
I am restoring a very nice later 547, but as usual, it has the bum HV transformer. Like most, it works for awhile, then the HV sags. If you make another run of transformers, I would like to buy one. T

Well, you must have gotten some bad info. I just last week purchased and received a DD-52 display direct from Tek in Beaverton. I suggest you call the order desk and attempt to buy one..

OT: Old Ge power transistor internal bonding solder - what's in it?
Is the solder soft? If so, it may be an indium alloy, or two with different melting temperatures. If it is relatively hard, it is a brazing alloy of some kind. I wouldn't worry about it being toxic.

CRT for 576
The 576 CRT is unique to that instrument. There is a new one on ebay for only $499....You can buy a complete 576 for less, if lucky, with a good CRT.

looking inside a ccd TEKTRONIX 24XX 2432
You run this with the cover on, right? The CCD's will overheat quickly without the cover, or a good fan blowing on them.
