Hi Flyte, I've got a TDS6604 here that I'm working on - I'd be interested to know the differences in the Acq. boards. Mine has a trigger problem and SPC fail. Maybe we can share notes? Regards, - Guy.

Hi Jim, I found the cause of the trigger problem with my TDS6604. It was the trigger chip - luckily we have an SMD repair station at my work -> they are not too hard to replace if you have hot air. Th

TDS6604 Acquisition Board Replacement
Hi Charlie, I tried running SPC but it looks like the Acquisition board I have purchased is faulty. SPC fails and channels 3 and 4 are unstable beyond 2.5GS/s. I might re-visit the original Acq. board

Which TDS7000 (Non-B) Serial Numbers are to be avoided?
Hi Egge, I've repaired both types without drama. If the NVRAM is separate to the battery, check the leakage current and if necessary replace the NVRAM too. It's easier to de-solder than a DS1245Y-120

Option keys for DPO7254 (obsolete scope)
I'm pretty sure the bandwidth on those models is determined by the Acquisition board. If you check the service manual I think you will find each model has a different Acq. board.
