The good news is you check pre trippler not post so you only need to measure -4Kv. If you have any image it is safe to assume the trippler is working.

Very Inexpensive 7623A, but Problems
Take LOTS of pictures. The harmonica connectors have many different voltages on them as low as 5.5 to as high as 130. I quicky turned a 7603 in to a parts unit one when I switched 2 of them. Sent 130V

Waking a slumbering 475
I can confirm as I have one of the variac, dim bulb, and isolation supplies in the lab the purpose for this is REALLY old tube stuff. It for protecting the power transformer which might be unobtanium.

TM50X DC ripple?

I will two my 2 cents in as well. Slow ramp for linier supplies are ok. Slow ramps for switching supplies will damage them. You will over current some of the parts. I do not remember what supplies are

I do know my 328XX serial number is one of the early ones with the black HV transformer. My other one has a black HV transformer but only cause I was able to put it there it had the brown one and did

Sick SG504
Is there a known failure mode when the high side of an SG504 goes dead? Reference and low are working as expected high is out to lunch. I have cleaned the switch and that does not seem to help.

Cleaning 576 display selector switches
I cleaned them in place if you remove the horizontal control you can get at the back of the switch to get some cleaner in it. I used iso for mine I know some use deoxit. Be pickie with the cleaners. O
