Thanks for your efforts Larry. IMO I wouldn't worry about the tracking numbers unless it's taken too long (2 weeks?) and one or more of the packages appears to have gone missing.

You don't have to bath it in oil but a good PENETRATING oil will creep. But I agree with you that there are good ready made solvents that won't harm the plastics and my preference would be to use one

You must have one of the last 576s that was built. The ICs in mine are dated 7901, 7902, 7918 and 7926. All appear to be original. Is anyone tracking SNs and production dates of the 576s?
