Calibration Moonlighters
I had Chuck Harris recap and calibrate one of my 2445B's.. I shipped it to him and he shipped it back. No detectable damage from the shipping experience. It's true that LA is a lot farther from Maryla

The best laid plans of mice and men....
I well know the frustration of buying a "parts-only" scope only to have it show up working and not even that far out of cal - if out at all. Still need a carrying handle for my 2445B. john

Sounds like a Deep Learning project. Tensorflow. If only there were more time, and fewer things to do.

Defective 465: into the dumpster it goes!
Sometimes the manufacturer's approach to end-user repairs makes sense. Many years ago the LCD screen on my Garmin GPS-75 acquired a black horizontal band.?? It wasn't difficult to disassemble and soon

Replacing Power LED/light on TEK 2465BCT
disregard the "??" on the earlier note. this seesm to be something that thunderbird is doing to me. Chuck really did calibrate it and it runs very nicely now.

[OT] surface mount components
I've been using drafting dividers - good ones - K&E Paragons. They have sharp points but the benefit is the built-in friction tends to continue to hold the part once I grab it. Do not work sitting on
