I bought a cheap USB microscope after a recommendation from one f the forums. It was about $20.00 plus another $10.00 shipping. It has a stand, light source, focus and a scale you can calibrate it off

how to finess a knob off
We used to do a similar think with tight TV knobs. We used a strong length of twine (string - builders line is good) and just wrapped a single turn around the shaft behind the knob. Then pull both end

Interesting "new" refrigerant
Fair enough Ed, I thought it was first mentioned as a refrigerant (to make cold) not as a freon replacement in probes. Don Black.

eBay Auction: Tek 7854 Oscilloscope with the Waveform Calculator
For comparison, there's a Tektronix 2465B on eBay item 261228507175 and they would send to me for $158.40. Quite a difference (I know there can be variations in how well it's packed, etc.) but that's

Thanks, my original comments still apply. Maybe there's a refrigeration Guru here who can shed more light on its use in refrigeration. Don Black.

eBay Auction: Tek 7854 Oscilloscope with the Waveform Calculator
Interesting but I don't really want it. Just as well, since the freight costs to me is $1500.00, Ouch! Don Black.

Interesting "new" refrigerant
Does it boil at 60 deg F or -60 deg F at atmospheric pressure? 60 deg doesn't sound like a great refrigerant unless perhaps used in a low pressure system. Don Black.

I'm not sure if the question is what non plugin scope(s) are available to use as a plain oscilloscope or what scope that can take plugins can also operate as an plain oscilloscope without any plugins

TV on a 7000 Scope - impossible on any other lab scope
Part of this discussion is from the Tektronix catalog that indicated the field office should be contacted to find the connections for a raster scan and the question asked how they would achieve it. Do

The proposition was that the two sweep units had to go into the vertical slots with one switched to horizontal sweep (not sure why?). In that case the blanking isn't internally connected. At least eve

Well, I checked the 7B53 manual before posting and it indicated it was available. At least the delayed sweep gate is fed from one of the normally input BNC connectors when it's not selected as an inpu
