OT: App that keeps track of "Or Best Offer" auctions on eBay to tell you what a seller will accept.
I stand corrected! There was a time eBay did not charge FVF on shipping domestic, only international. I do mostly free shipping and missed that change. Kevin

@Jim Potter I should have been clearer. What I meant was that, as a competitor trying to figure out what an item sold for and to price the same or similar item, past fixed price sales are misleading.

FWIW, and more OT, I sell frequently on eBay, but almost never in auction format. I will use BIN with or without offers. When eBay shifted to profit on final value with essentially free listing it mad

Powering up a 577 for the first time
The 577 used one of the Tek custom potted SMPS transformers if my memory is correct. Next to a tube failure, that is your biggest worry. I agree with others. Clean, repair power cord, fuse, power, deb

Tek485 - a quick question on disabling/bypassing power supply protection
Had similar problems years ago and the problem was those little tants going short. Rather hazy on the details now, but I remember how infuriating those power supply interlocking systems were. With sup

Switching power supplies
“Personally I'd replace C911: 22uF 15V tant bead on a 13V PSU rail, diagram 17 (not the PSU diagram!)” Interesting..... It’s been a while, but I think this is the first failure of my 485! Did this rep
