Re: % Of Silver In The Solder?
Well, I have seen three percentages, 2% and 4% in normal tin-lead solder,
and a much higher percentage in lead free solder - which is a tin-silver
eutectic.
I suspect that the Tek solder was around

Re: Update to 2235 ps problems
Hi Miroslav ,
the size of the lamp doesn't really matter. The idea is
- to produce an initial power pulse with the cool lamp, then
- to limit the current and
- to have an immediate visual indication

Re: FETS on a 575
Just had a closer look at the manual. Collector current is delivered by two
cascaded emitter followers (the only semiconductors other than diodes in the
unit!). It is then fed through a current

Re: FETS on a 575
The resistor trick works. Unfortunatly the supply voltage or rail of
the current source is about 10V, which limits the voltage excursion
the you can get to about +- 10V, barely good enough for most

FETS on a 575
Having a 575 for some time, I wanted to measure a FET, a depletion
type like BF245 or the BF256. Now the thing is that the 575 does not
support FETs.
To make a good curve trace on a FET you need
