Re: 2445A slow
Also, I forgot to mention that I changed the 4.7/10 tantalum cap to an electrolytic of the same value with a bit higher voltage It’s the only one I found in the power supply. I figured why not since

Re: 2445A slow
I’ve actually stopped the process and made another order with mouser and bought the proper electrolytic and safety caps. They should be in some time this week. I did change the 4 47uf caps on the A5

Re: Anybody need the Tek DC power cord for the older 300-series portables? 5MHz OCXO?
Just a quick addendum, this cord has a different color code than shown in the 321A manual.
but yes, it does fit and work. please note that the manual shows a picture of the AC power connector

Re: A sick 7603 can it be restored?
Well it turns out I had a Tech issue and not a Tek issue. I have a variac and current limit supply on the bench that is adjustable. 6 X 60W light bulbs that are switchable. I had 4 of them switched in

Hi Dan ,as a result of your last message I have looked elsewhere for a user manual for the DAS , bitsavers were a good choice . The copy I had was incomplete , section 12 was only about 25% complete

Re: 465 dot only, no sweep
My 465 had the same problem, no sweep, found that tantalum capacitor C1220 on horizontal amplifier was shorted out. Cap C1220 is connected to the -8V supply through resistor R1220. I replaced it with

Re: 2445A slow
Hi Steve,
UPW's are not my favorite for the switcher side of the
supply, but they should be ok. I find the UPW's are not
beefy enough for my taste.
I use UCC's EKZN500ELL331MK16S (mouser) 330uf

2 questions quick, the low esr lhigh ripple Nichicon UPW caps I have aren’t dimensionally correct but work well for the spots their in, is that ok? I have none of the safety caps that are the same

Re: 2465 Recap - Trace Returns, But Jumping Everywhere
Thank you for the reply.
The logic probe that I have must be disturbing U2435, as it causes it to reset on both the repair scope and a good 2465 scope. I will locate another logic probe.
Meantime,

I would get it done. Once it is done, you don't have to worry about
it anymore.

Re: Anybody need the Tek DC power cord for the older 300-series portables? 5MHz OCXO?
my 422 AC/DC (early) manual has 161-0016-00 for the 3 wire DC cord, 161-0015-00 for the 3 wire AC cord. different pattern for each.
I am in need of the DC cord..the AC cord is a bit ratty but

Re: open hardware sampler oscilloscope development video by Ted Yapo mentions Tek many times.
Hi John,
Thank you for finding that fascinating video. Ted Yapo is onto something really interesting. I think within a year he will be able to at least match the risetime capabilities of the Tek S-4
