Re: 7854 Bad display board
This confirms two things:
1) your A2 board is receiving the _RESET signal correctly
2) _RESET is de-asserted prematurely at power-on
At this point, I would deal with 2) first, before even looking

Tek 7K flex extenders available again
The custom connectors were out of stock and going to stay that way because of moving to NM, but 30 of them turned up in the attic,
(lost for a couple years).
So now flex extenders are back, and:

Interesting... The front panel lights extinguish when I press reset, and illuminate immediately upon releasing the button. The 'Busy' LED stays illuminated at all times.
I just got the edge

7633 Does not Display One plug in in "ALT" Vert mode.
Good Day to all:
I have a 7633 that works well for the most part, however, it has one nagging issue. The "ALT" button does not display a trace from one of the two plug ins. This is regardless of

One thing to note - All lights illuminate immediately. The manual seems to indicate that it takes a few seconds to indicate an error code, but even when I was getting the bad ROM light pattern, it

My 465B periodically skips triggering event while I'm watching a trace. It's kind of like it has the hiccups. Maybe I should've been a little more conservative with the alcohol when I cleaned

Re: 2465b possibly really stupid question (noob)
What got us into this line of debate was my stating that I have found
that store brands of 70% rubbing alcohol contain a bitterant.
A brand of IPA, claiming to be USP, could not contain a bitterant

Re: 2465b possibly really stupid question (noob)
I don't shop at Walmart. Far too much of what they sell isn't
made in the USA.
The stores I have bought ISA from in my area have 70%, 91%, and
99%, but none mark them USP.
That includes Costco,

To prolong this a little more, in the UK ethanol used in research _is_ taxed. I have seen bottles of ethanol with "duty paid" on the label when I was working - but I should add that it was "absolute

Wow this thread has gone south. I didn't use alcohol of any sort. I used clean benzine. No water, no residue, strong cleaning properties and protects from corrosion...

Just IPA alone, has a slightly bitter taste... like a bitter fruit. (I've pipetted that too far, a few times.)
I have tasted ethyl alcohol denatured with denatonium benzoate... a.k.a. as Bitrex, et.

CVS in Los Angeles has both 70% and 91%. Sold for medical use. Does not say USP on the label. I am not sure why USP registration is important for a cleaning agent. Note that the USP is a private

Now there must be news groups out there where people discuss the distilling of various kinds of alcohol ... so do the contributors also get slighty off topic occasionally and discuss the intricacies

Sweep Knob for Tek SC502 Scope
I need the two knobs that adjust the sweep speed on a Tek SC502 scope.
I have several part numbers for these knobs but the descriptions shown on-line don't seem to match the damaged knobs actually
