Re: 465 dot only, no sweep
Which type of component is affected by gravity?
This 'arcing' only occurs when the scope is upside down. Wtf?
When on it's sides, or 'normally' upright, there is no arcing.

Re: 465 dot only, no sweep
The block diagram didn't resolve the problem.
Clearly TP1486 should not have such a potential difference to ground that it blows a DMM with 1000VDC rating.
As far as I can see, TP1486 should be no

Re: Need isolated BNC connector 131-0679-02 for 465 scope
Hi,
While it does not apply to this specific case, I also have a method for restoring heavily damaged BNC connectors.
I use a hole punch tool that has a main piece and several bits of various sizes.

Somehow I missed the fact that the connectors to which Ernest referred were branded with EORG.

Sure thing - I'm just waiting on a cable, then it's fingers crossed that I can communicate with this 30 year old programmer that just showed up today.

Good question! I didn't realize these were made by EDAC.

EDAC is correct. It’s the company that makes the connector.

Re: Need isolated BNC connector 131-0679-02 for 465 scope
Hi Tim, I came up with a simple way to restore the round shape to a BNC connector that is dented. I documented it several years ago in message 147098. Lots of members tried it and were quite surprised

Larry,
You MUST (I don't want to be rude either) have a look at Tekwiki in general and for your question more specifically at

Thanks for the reply. The BNC that was in the scope had the center wallowed out and I had a heck of a time getting any connection. In retrospect I should have put another piece of wire in the hole
