I won't say you *can't* buy USP labeled IPA in drug stores,
or grocery stores, in the USA, but, I have never found any in
all the years I have been buying it.

Really Dave?
I said IPA, not ethanol. I know the difference.
In the US, denatured alcohol has no exotic flavor added that
would dissuade you from drinking it, only the methyl alcohol that

Hello,
Forgot pictures get cut. Well to describe, directly above or below the
measurement readouts there is an interference on the trace, like a

Corey,
Welcome. I think you'll find everyone very helpful.
Colin,
I'd like to propose an arrangement whereby members can rent an extender from someone who has one. Ebay bandit level PayPal

Re: Strange issue with TDS3034B on channel 4
Yes, that is correct.
I don't think the problem is to do with channel 4 itself, but more about the memory where the trace data is being stored once digitized and/or how it is being accessed.

Rubbing alcohol also usually contains additives to make it less drying and irritating to skin. It leaves a residue and is not a good cleaner for that reason. You can buy industrial isopropy alcohol of

No Rifa's in a 2215A, but there is a netfilter that might be Schaffner...
In that case you have a similar situation, at least when you are in a 240VAC part of the world.

Re: 2465b possibly really stupid question (noob)
I figure the talk of bitterant is supposed to be about "denatured alcohol", which is ethanol adulterated with methanol to make it poisonous and thereby avoid liquor taxes.

Re: 2465b possibly really stupid question (noob)
Is there a picture of these RIFA capacitors so I can find them more easily?
There might be some in my 2215A (but not likely in the 545B or the 547).
Thanks, Roy

Re: 2465b possibly really stupid question (noob)
In section 6 of the 2465B service manual it states to use only "isopropyl alcohol", but it does not state what percentage.
Most people would choose to play it safe and use 99%, but 93%, which is more

Interesting... While 70% IPA (isopropyl alcohol) is pretty nasty to drink by itself... even diluted appropriately... (as it partly metabolizes to acetone)… I'm sure someone somewhere would want to
