A few tips: Avoid using external power in debugging, easy to have safety or do damage.
Suggest Do NOT replace all capacitors, can do damage in desolder

Of course range filters are coated... coated with
cooking grease.
The entire purpose of the aluminum style range filters
is to capture the grease from cooking, and keep it stuck
to the filter and out

Wondering how to identify a Tek terminal that is missing both front & back ID decals.
The CRT screen seems small, so perhaps 11" on the diagonal.

I think we need to be certain which pots we are considering. Are they pots on the front panel, or are they internal adjustments (trimmers) and perhaps which are they specifically? Circuit identities

Yes... at least here in the colonies...Al range hood filter material is the samesimilar Al material that was used in the 500 filters (I think it has been mentioned earlier... or in another

We had an electrostatic air cleaner on our HVAC system that used expanded aluminum filters. Or how about the same type of filter that is used in a range hood?

I've cleaned the oldest dirtiest (I mean dirty!) original (or as they came with) series 500 Al mesh filters.
I never, when I can get them, throw the filters away... I just simply clean them.

Ooops sorry I read pots to mean trim pots. Still if you can replace them they will never be as stable after cleaning as new.
