Re: 465B Delay Knob - Just Curious
The thing I find interesting is that in most of these oscilloscopes which
display the delay time, they use a DVM to measure the control voltage instead of
a timer/counter to measure the delay

Need a knob for my 2215A
Anybody have a source for a 366-2049-01 knob for a 2215A scope? I have a pot that has the insert on it but no knob. Qservice lists a replacement but it's $18.00 by the time I pay shipping and was

Good job, Siggi. Enjoy this very special Christmas time when one lady gave you a second one to enjoy.

Makes sense.... although I NEVER think of using the DM44 to measure time. Maybe I should look into that.
Thanks!

Ah, makes sense that that's what it was. I was able to cut it out with an Xacto knife. Thanks!

Hey Idan,
given that this trouble started after your fix, in your shoes I'd retrace my steps and see whether you've e.g. forgotten to hook anything up on reassembly, reversed a connector or such

And that's all it was - the biasing for the trigger amp and B channel tunnel diodes. I did a real butcher's job of it on the dinner table here, but the B delay trigger works now.
I wonder how long

Tek made plastic probe holders that stuck into a banana jack or a UHF
female on the panel. I'd guess that the plastic that is stuck in your jack
is the broken-off remains of one of those probe

Hi Siggi,I've tried to feed the scope with a signal which goes above and below the circuit but it didn't help.I also found a good schematic in tekwiki but I don't know from where should

Two tunnel diodes are used because one arms the other.
The arming diode triggers on the reverse slope and arms the second trigger diode
because otherwise if the sweep reset at a point just after it

I couldn't resist popping her open, and I see what you mean. The construction is beautiful, but it's going to be a female canine to work on any of the boards. Given those board-to-board

Since you can use the DMM to measure time it was probably thought
unnecessary to provide the graduated dial.

465B Delay Knob - Just Curious
Curious as to why some 465B's have the counting dial on the delay knob and others don't. I have one of each. My 465 with DM44 has a normal knob and the one without the DMM has the counting knob.

Re: 575 curve tracer problem
Thanks Dennis. I bought the 575 for two simple reasons: I can't afford a decent 576 and I just wanted to quantify the 2N5457s that I use to make mint box preamps for guitar players. During the process

Idan,
The Slope switch is not an "On-Off" function. It selects either the (+)rising edge, or the (-)falling edge (slope).
