453 has a warmup problem
I have a Tektronix 453 oscilloscope that was built in 1967. It's the early version that uses Nuvistors where high impedance was needed. Its been working fine until recently. Now, when I turn it on

Re: 575 Mod122C with keys. SN005100
Hi Christopher,
The 575 Mod 122C is very desirable because of the additional 400V collector
range it has.
The only drawback it has (by today's standards) is the base voltage steps
are not big enough

Dennis
I think you have to be right - the quality and fitment of the metalwork
is upto tek standards.
Will be interesing as a project to get working!

Thanks for the suggestions David.
I saw a manual for sale at VintageTek and so bought it. Like to support the museum and the foldout stuff is so much easier to use than even the best scan.

and later from 1971 - silicone potted, which seems to work just fine.

Some pics now uploaded uinder the heading 'Tek 575 Mod 122c Front'
Looks like the lower on/off switch connects the .percentage of peak
volts range' rheostat to its +ve supply
Still no EHT, but

Re: 2465A Cap replacements
The start-up delay is normal. The LVPS (Low Voltage Power Supply) is quite intricate by the standards of the time. A "Mains Section" is directly connected to the mains supply and must be handled

Re: 2465A Cap replacements
What is odd about this capacitor placement error is that it was never
corrected in any of the 24x5 service manuals I've seen, from the early
24x5 on up to the last 2465B/2467B manual.

Re: 2465A Cap replacements
The change in size is for convenience and some negligible (most think unnecessary) improvement in ripple. But the replacement caps fit in the space of the old caps and are a more uniform arrangement

Tektronix 549 available, UK/Europe
Tek fans,
I've posted about this before, but another opportunity to move this
scope on to a new home has come up.
A few years ago I restored a 549 storage scope into full working
order. Since then

Machine Guy,
Thanks for the heads up on the C1115 vice C1132 Cap issue.
From the file 2465LVPS, posted here, or TekScopArc...shows
increase in size in electrolytics, from 180uf, 250uF (20V, 40V)
