The two boards are not soldered together, they are connected via several connectors pins if you observe with attention.
I've already done a similar work to another 7B53A so I can anticipate

12Amp 50volts on the rectifier board. They were essentially shorting out
the power transformer winding tap for the +- 17volt DC that feeds the low
voltage regulator
