Sorry to nitpick. The 067-0681-01 uses some 1/8W parts - the 3K worth of 1K pull-up resistors - but the 43-ohm terminating resistor is 1/4W, not 1/8W. The hole allows one to mount it coaxially in

If you don't get the tic sound, there is another line fuse that is inside
the PS. Is the neon bulb on inside of the PS on?

Quite. The reason I asked of course is that a known failure mode is the bridge rectifier right on the
power input. If that goes phut it takes out the power fuse.

I have the exact same problems with an 7834 I aquired some time ago:absolutely no signs of life.
The presence or absence of plugins makes no difference.
