Re: 5L4N Spectrum not Analyzing
Turns out I had a decade counter on hand that met most of the specs. That did the trick and the unit is now working. The LO signal makes it to the mixer and the analyzer displays the spectrum. The

Okay .... I have been receiving the Daily Summary so that I didn't get 'swamped' by too many emails .... so I am not seeing some of the fields that you and others (via PM's) are seeing ... :)

they have exploited over the later decades, was once warranted.

Re: 7603 15+ rail dead. Options?
Hmm, Q926 is 151-0347-00 6-6&12 which is a 2N5551, 100MHz 160V 600mA
TO-92. You might get away with a 2N4401 selected for high Vceo but
one of the many high voltage TO-92 parts is the way to go and

Re: 7603 15+ rail dead. Options?
I don't think it is quite that simple. It makes sense to use
transistor duals for differential pairs because it avoids having to
match separate transistors and the close thermal coupling

Re: Diode 5082-2068 Substitute or Source
Rated 25 volts. You can get some out of an F16 or a Ohio Class Sub.
The 5082-2800 is rated at 70 volts. But take a look at that series as there are some lower voltage parts and some matched quads.

Re: 7D20 pull tab
The pull tab mechanism on a 7D20 is VERY different from any I have seen on other 7K plug-ins. The knob latches on to the internal actuator where others are attached using a roll pin. The 7D20 actuator

Re: 7D20 pull tab
I could get you a tab from a 7A18 or a 7A26 easily enough. Long story
about how I have them, but I have. I *can* make pull tabs for the
TM-5000 series, though. They would be either black or mid

Re: Tekmate floppy setup problem.
It might surprise you, but your floppys are corrupt. I would suggest getting a tube of disk cleaner (10%alcohol and a drop of detergent) - and using a nice clean tissue - I recommend toilet paper -

Re: Diode 5082-2068 Substitute or Source
Hi Stan,
In my manual for the FG503, it calls out 1N4152 for all the small signal diodes. That is a standard Si diode. If you want to try a common Schottky diode, the 5082-2800 is easy to find and
