2712 and 2707
Would anyone know how much a Tektronix 2712 spectrum analyzer and the 2707 tracking generator would have cost brand new? Thank you in advance. Mike K8MB.

Power switch bracket part? for 465 (not B)
Stupidly, I didn't look well enough before removing the power switch bracket on a 465 I'm working on, and this part fell out... I can't figure out where it goes or what the intended purpose of it is!

Re: Tek 577 sells for $256 on eBay
Hi Dennis,
I'm afraid Craig is right, the prices over this side are crazy. Partly I suspect because there are far fewer around but mostly because prices on everything are way higher.

Re: Tek 577 sells for $256 on eBay
Dennis, there's no need to be stunned by the complexity of the 577 amplifier.
It is quite complicated, but the reason is simple. The 577 senses true DUT collector current on the high-side, right from

Re: 468 ribbon cable
I love reading those old bulletins. Thank you for that. I hope the deoxit cleaning along with the reseating means that that issue is solved. At least for a while.

cmjones01
That's the symptom of one of the trimmer capacitors going open-circuit on that channel. I think it's the one labelled 'LF' or 'MF' but I can't remember exactly. It's easy to identify

Wow - 1000! In the whole of Europe there are 15 listed as shippable to the UK. And they sell for
anything (looking at completed listings) between (converting to USD) anything between

Re: 453 calibrator
The p-p voltage is around 0.4 mV, not 2.5 mV. I forgot to correct for the cascade amplification in the 475. This amplitude makes much more sense to me.
I can see the 1 KHz signal on the 453 as well,

Hi Fabio and Lop Pol,
I mentioned checking the Z-axis adjustment because it's easy and non-critical. Unless there is a component failure, it hardly ever gives trouble.

No need for the circuit discussion. This is pretty basic.
The important thing was the concept.
If I can find some time to try it (that's the big problem) I will report back.

Hi Craig,
That is very disappointing. I don't understand why that would be the case.
The whole point of finding a tube tester was because they are so obsolete by
now people are just throwing them

RG174?
What's a good source of 12 feet of RG174? A customer wants to make an extender cable and
I'm out of supplies of Coleman RG174 in 1000ft reels.

Re: 7D01 with DF1 for postage
You need a pair of P6451. And don't get the ones where the cable comes off the side - it is for the Sony/Tek 308 and it won't fit.

Re: 7a26 rise time
Hi Lop Pol (again),
As others answered, it seems those tiny 5mm trimmer caps are prone to fail.
I had one of such failed on the pre-amplifier of my 464, and had also one failed on the vertical output

using scope channel 1 and channel 2 invert and add functions vs floating DUT
I have been thinking about this for awhile. I have played with it a bit and it seems to function somewhat ok.
Opinions?
