I don't know the full answer, but the nearest I can think of quickly is that some (or all?) of the 7000-series timebase plugins limit the beam current at slow sweep speeds to prevent CRT burn. That's

I mentioned the P6042 and A6302 in a recent message but is seems to have been lost somewhere. Both probes are long out of production.
The P6042 has an interesting design and is complete i. e. does not

Yes it is unfortunate that someone took all the tubes , from what i had a was able to find some tubds , howerer not all i have a good number 6dj8 and a few other , but just not enough to complete the

Shame when that happens; a full complement of tubes is not cheap to source and full calibration will be necessary.
Also, the 565 can be prone to crt heater isolation breakdown and HV transformer

As I said mine was a 2430a and all the cal and setup data was on the two dallas chips, as to what is stored where only Tektronix would know, I just copied the chips and replaced them adding a pair of

Since it sounds like there is a problem with your front panel, I recommend running the diagnostics via RS-232 instead of via the front panel.
I'm not sure about the CSA803, but on the 11401/11402,

Did you copy the firmware from the dallas chips? I just did a 2430a and replaced the dalls 1245 with 1230ab 70ns. The scopes calibration is stored here and it isn’t as simple as replacing chips. If
