Hello,
New member, first post. My first scope, a model 2445 just entered through the doorstep and I have two questions.
Is there a way to check operating time and power cycles like on 2445A model?

Ooooh! Pain, after a fashion. I went back out to the shop to check the grid voltage on the comparator (V308, 6U8), turned on the scope, and it worked! Sweep is back, !!!!?????. I did change one

Re: TEK 532 --
David,
I think you are getting close. If you had seen a single sweep, then the miller integrator / sweep generator is probably functioning. This points to the trigger, or possibly the multivibrator

I like that reasoning.
It also implies that as our memories fade with age, we should start thinning the herd as we get older.

Gentlemen,
How many oscilloscopes should a gentleman have?
the correct answer is 1 more than he currently has.

Re: Tek 576 Curve Tracer Repair
Sam,
in mine it was the resistor in the HV box.
You could have a look inside this box and look if
this resistor is getting hot. Its on the right
upper side under the metal

My personal criterion is that I should be able to remember the location and condition of each scope I own and how I acquired it. I should be able to list them from memory. When they start blurring

Re: TEK 532 --
I think the "-57" on yours is the single sweep option, mine doesn't have that, so I'll just have to guess. Are you saying the single sweep works? If so, is that repeatable? Or did it

The toggle switch is "Single Sweep / Normal". Not an extra light, it's a button, label "Reset"
