I would fix the intensity problem first if I were you.Running the tube as
bright as it looks in those pictures for any length of time will do it no
favours at all.

I also wonder whether they made something to replace the coin-operable case locks for educational settings, IF 500 or 7000 boxes were ever used in such settings, and IF it wasn't assumed that high

I have the Blue meter and like it. I work on a lot of scopes so find ituseful. It only
took about two hours to build it and I put some good leads on it instead ofthe
ones that came with it.

Don, this is a little OT, but Tektronix had a mod kit (p/n: 040-0159-00) that is easy to install and limits how bright you can set inten control. I have added one to my 545B and others,... saves
