Let me look at the 3A6 Jim, that is one plugin I am not familiar with. I am certainly interested though. Send me an email at jeromeleach17 at gmail.

Re: 465M with probe for sale $60
The owner does not seem to know much about it. He is listing it as 50 MHz but the 465M is 100MHz!

Re: TDS540 repair; drifting vertical position at start-up
Hi Ralph,
My comments are below.
This may be another open trace or control voltage issue. Interpolator makes heavy use of calibration voltages.
I had similar errors on TDS520’s that cleared up

Re: Analog storage scope howto
A previous user pre-burned my 7514 for me. :(
It isn't too bad but it is noticeable.
Thanks,

Hi Tom,
Can you please upload the screenshots to the TekScope's photo section?
This way everyone can benefit from it.
I personally would be interested to know about the capabilities of storage

Like I said, I did not find the operators manual section useful in terms of
teaching me to use storage mode to solve problems, it might be somewhat
useful in demonstrating correct behaviour, but IMO

Hi Andy-
I hope you wind up liking your 7633 as much as I do mine..... It's the one that I keep on the bench as a "first call" for anything that doesn't require something that it can't do.

Tek's Concept Series are a good way to go.
Since you've got a 7633, use its Operator's Manual, which is available for free online. It contains some pretty good introductory information on what you're

I need to take a look at that. I recently acquired a 7514 and I'm quite puzzled about how the anode lead makes it to the CRT. The HV out of the multiplier goes to a typical cylindrical anode-style

The better choice is the 3A6, which is just a 3A1 with a delay line, so the scope can display the event that triggers the sweep. I've only got one 3A1, but I have several 3A6s, all in good cosmetic

I've got several 3B3s, all in good working and cosmetic condition. Make me an offer.
I always thought the 3B4 was the better timebase plugin. Should I take a better look at the 3B3?

Re: 7A16A high frequency compensation.
A simultaneous failure of all trimmers is highly improbable. Your problem is elsewhere.
Possibilities include: Bad connection at input BNC, poor contacts at attenuator socket pins, etc. So, your plan
