Hi Gary,
I absolutely agree. Actually, I bought a VW once upon a time that had been in a flood. It had multiple issues including ECU and sensor problems.

Re: TM 504 Power Module Questions
I'm sorry that I don't quite know what you mean by "indicated". Could you expand on that?
If you mean "identified", that's easy. Take a look at the tekwiki page I linked to and you'll see a drawing

Re: TM 504 Power Module Questions
Lots of wonderful information. Thanks, all.
The 101-level question I now ask is at what point would such cable be indicated? For the SG 502? The FG 502? Both?

The standard cable was good old generic RG-174, which is 50 ohms.

I can't say regarding Tek gear but I have an HP-67 that went through a
house fire. It was in it's original plastic box and about 2 inches in one
corner of it melted and one small corner of the HP-67

Ah, yes! I had forgotten the name. Thanks.
I still don’t know the characteristics of that coax. Perhaps I will get a chance to measure them someday.

Re: Tektronix RAMS (Surplus) Store - Odd hours?
I corresponded with them about a month ago. At that time, most likely
reopening will occur in late September.
They -are- coming back. That much is definite. Just don't know when.

Bringing this thread back from the dead, does anyone know if RAMS has (or is planning to be) reopened post-COVID? I miss it!
