Re: Getting calibration equipment calibrated
Of course, primary calibration labs at NIST (US), NPL (UK) and NRC (Canada) all function nicely.
The Canadian NRC Metrology labs may have a faster turn-around time and somewhat of a lower cost( CDN$

If S/W was a supplier and you have the color name, they will most
likely be able to look it up. You might also want to check with one of
their industrial branches. I recently had to get some Sunbelt

Eric, I have to say that the photos you uploaded make me want to swap out
the lamps on my 7904.
Normally, I'm a reasonable adherent to "it ain't (that) broke, don't fix
it", but your results look

Re: Getting calibration equipment calibrated
5 standard cells, I think Leeds and Northrop did a set in a very nice Oak box.
Seriously my final standard was a a 3458A with a 3245A, what a set of equipment.

Re: Updated album Mystery 330MHz signal on top of a 3mA pulse from a P6302 - AM503B Combination
#photo-notice
Dennis:
Have you tried this with a pulse that has a slower rising edge, such as the square wave or pulse out of a function generator?
Does it do the same thing with a falling edge pulse, no 150MHz

I have some of that paint and it came from Stan Griffiths.
The paint color is Williamsburg Blue. Stan had that
matched to Tek scopes. I'm not sure if the Williamsburg
Blue is a stock Sherwin

I agree, a fluke 515A is an excellent calibrator (if working and calibrated) for any home lab, maybe ditch the batteries, they are nothing but trouble. They show up regularly, but again, the issue is

The phone number, according to a thread on EEVblog, goes to Sherwin Williams, who are still in business. I'm going to go to a Sherwin Williams store to see if they can get some shipped to the store

I used this ( Krylon® ColorMaster™ Paint + Primer, Gloss, Bahama Sea, 340g ) on a case for a 2235 and it turned out pretty good.
Not a exact match thou.

Re: Matching Tek Blue Paint
I'd be wary of any aerosol spray cans that are very old. The propellant tends to leak out over the years. The way to test it is to spray some out, but then once that's done, it's likely to leak

Hi Jeff,
I also assume that it is a batch date. I just looked at the two cans I have, and there's no such information on those particular samples.

Re: Tektronix 2246A faint readout
I'm just guessing, but since both trace and readout intensity is affected, doesn't that implicate the HV supply?
If there were a single failed component I would expect that only one or the other
