AWG2005 Issues and Repair Question.
I recently obtained a SONY/TEKTRONIX AWG2005. It had a couple of issues. First the power supply would quit working after it warmed up for about 30 minutes and would not restart until it cooled

Hi Jim,
I found the cause of the trigger problem with my TDS6604.
It was the trigger chip - luckily we have an SMD repair station at my work -> they are not too hard to replace if you have hot

There is a TekScopes2 already and they are more agreeable to having off topic conversations. I for one would appreciate it if you took this over there
Log into Groups.IO and search on TEKSCOPES

I was only born 20 years later, in 1966, but I do remember the US Corned Beef rations we could still buy (new) surplus of, from the grocery store. Is this what you’re referring to?

The pdf manual that I have doesn't suggest that there is a detent. However , it describes it as a "Frequency Vernier" and labels it "CAL". Confusingly, the photo on TekWiki labels it "VAR". My FG503

Re: 7834 Missing Trace
In gated mode the readout displays between sweeps, so if you have nothing to trigger the sweep then you get no readout, I just checked this on a 7904.
It is quite easy to accidentally knock the AB

Re: Why would you do this?
Ebay has been taking a shipping cut for years (not sure how long, probably around 2012?). I stopped selling scopes because of that, as $120 shipping on an item that might sell for $35 isn't worth

AWG2021 Sample Waveform Library
After having repaired on of these units I was searching all over for the sample waveform disk (P/N 063-2169-00) or even just the files from the disk. Recently I finally found one on eBay and verified
