Re: 2213A recap & vertical jitter repair (attenuator fix)
Hmmmm... I'm going to check the attenuator modules in my flaky 7A26, 7A22, and 7S12. If all else fails, I can bring them into work, where we have higher power microscopes.
Say, anybody have 7000

Thank you for the 2213A reply!
As far as I know, all of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor are suspect, as well as the the X2 and Y2 film capacitors that see the input AC.

It looks as if it were meant for a 500 series scope. The PG506

will work in a TM500 series frame.

Is there anyone here who, like me is interested in building this kit?
I am sorry to say, I was slow on the uptake and missed out on Dutch's kit, but I look forward to anything he offers to help me

Re: 2213A recap & vertical jitter repair (attenuator fix)
Yes I would think this should apply to the 2213, 2215, 2235, 2236 scopes, maybe even some others in the 22xx range.

Hello unnamed contributor:
Thanks for your post. I have a 2215 scope and from. Your last comment I assume that what you tell about would apply to my scope as well.
Is that right?

2213A recap & vertical jitter repair (attenuator fix)
I bought this 2213A on ebay due to needing a quick solution low cost scope for some immediate work I needed to get done without using one of my regular bench scopes. In general it mostly needed

I added the optional USB parts, as well, which makes it easy to plug in a USB cable with just a standard USB charger to power it. Highly recommend it. The parts are cheap on Mouser and the SMD

Re: AVR Scope Clock
Just s short note to say I received my clock yesterday and built it immediately (some new year resolution or other maybe).
I'm very happy with the result, so a big thank you.

I think it is component number U1690, and it s a common part like an ordinary MPQ2221A.

Hi Mark,
Did you find the cause yet? Sounds to me like a bad solder joint. I would replace the resistors in question and resolder the other joints and go from there.

Looks like a 1A4 plugin in it as well.

Re: Triggering problem with TDS6604
Jim
I spend way to many hours hours checking out the trigger components until I noticed the main line going into the trigger IC
appeared to be quite thin so I checked the trace and found it was open.

It's not as fast as the 547, probably more like a storage version of the 545. I used one for a while until I found a 547. It's a great performer but can have the HV transformer thermal

I wonder if the 549 is the storage
