Eagle was, apparently, one of those packages where you either loved it or loathed it, with no in-between. To be perfectly honest, I fell into the 'Loathe' category.

Nothing seems to have really changed except for the name, and that has been coming for a long time anyway. It's been absorbed into Fusion 360, and there still appears to be a free version.

pcb-rnd has a topological autorouter and it is going to get better.

Re: Eagle has flown. Apparently for good.
Use pcb-rnd and sch-rnd. pcb-rnd will import from eagle files. If you find the import is too imperfect, too lossy, the main dev will probably hack it better.

It looks like I can make KiCAD work for my relatively simple projects. My boards are all small, mostly single sided in the beginning and then double sided with vias more recently - they are all

Interleaved.
Which is why I got the hobby version, 4 inches by 6 inches with "can't make money" restrictions.
That more or less matches up with the price point of some of the board houses.
Oh, now

Re: Eagle has flown. Apparently for good.
I never did get on well with Eagle, especially the restrictions on the free version (number of tracks, vias, and board area) so
discovering Kicad was a blessing.
Kicad v7 has an Auto-routing plug in

Re: Eagle has flown. Apparently for good.
I think that it became part of Fusion360, or you had to sign up for Fusion 360 to get EAGLE. Not sure if there's a free version of Fusion360.
So I think that EAGLE is still there, but hiding.

Subscriptions on software are a major PITA. It'sgetting close to extortion
as a business practice.
I'm only a hobbyist, but from my perspective Kicad has become a serious

Use Kicad, you can import your eagle files directly.
Disclaimer: I'm not a Kicad user, but that's what I read.
It's well supported, open source and won't go away, ever.

Eagle has flown. Apparently for good.
I discovered today that AutoDesk's EAGLE PCB design software is gone. I confess to not previously have taken seriously the hazard of using subscription software - never guessing that I would soon be

Re: 7704A 15V tantalums / PS Load
I used a standard harmonica connector.
I have pictures of my project but cannot figure out how to upload those to my existing groups.io folder. I know I've done this before but don't see a way to do

Re: 7704A 15V tantalums / PS Load
I also built it very similar to how he has it in that article,
my question now is one of where do you connect the load at?
Using clips or a harmonica connector?
Thanks,
Don

Thanks Mark,
"What I said is what I do in my scopes. You do what you want in yours."
As usual!
Greater capacitance is what I had in mind too. Uhe is duly noted.
Barry, no problem to open Dennis

Tektronix 500 series plugins wanted
Hi everyone, I'm searching for some Tektronix 500 series plugins in Europe
and wondered if anyone on here may have one for sale. They don't need to be working, but do need to be in good cosmetic

Re: DPO7254 Remote Control or at least Remote Screen grab?
Tek DPO7k series are running on Windows OS.
You can setup built-in Remote Desktop and connect to scope remotely to see the TekScope UI from Network, if that's what you asking?
Alternatively you can
