Re: Using Scope to View VCR

I have a friend who does exactly that. Last computer lost sound, now has a new one. My Mum is like that too. Her fairly new clothes dryer is noisy, I'm going to look at it for her. She just wants to chuck it and buy another one. I suppose I'm the weird one :-(

This latest one really set the bar. At one point I was the IT support for a
company, I've been fixing systems since well before the PC, yet I have never
seen one where so many different things went wrong with a repair. At every stage
of every step I had to use work-arounds and hacks to get things to work. What
should have taken 3 hours took well over 3 solid days, and I'm just now getting
the system back on its feet and (more or less) operating correctly, with files
restored to the right places. I'll spare you the gory details, but what to
non-technical people do? I suppose, just accept the loss, buy a new machine, and
go on from there.

Not sure what target shooting has to do with this, except that I was about ready

I introduced my wife to target shooting. She is now my shooting buddy
and a life member of the NRA. We go to the range about every week.
Meet a lot of couples there.

Life is good. Go to range on Monday. Honey do list on Tuesday.
