Re: 7B9-P Sweep

May be I should hold off celebrating until you have finished your experiment. A question which may be provocative, but is not intended to be so: Does the 7B90P work OK in equipment it was intended for?

I tried the 7B90P in a 7854 and I got a sweep but it was not right. It
seemed like it was sweeping at a fast rate with the X10 magnify turned on,
and with a very long hold-off of several seconds between sweeps. It
certainly wasn't useful. The front panel buttons didn't work. I'll try it
next in a 7603.

My 7B90P (S/N B031584) works in both my 7603 and 7854 as well as my
7912AD (with jumper removed) and is a very nice t/b, so maybe your
problem lies elsewhere (I made the P028 suggestion.)

I'm 65 outside and 25 inside. Learnt all about valves (tubes) in 1st
year at Uni - transistors crept in later, and I paid £25 for my first
thyristor - a 1Amp device!
