No... I get it (an it may yet be silliness) but having older stuff is sometimes required for replicating measurements... and it can make you feel like your back in the 1980s too. Problem is... a lot of people... theses days want to be in the 1980s... so time travel is costing more these days... and getting to be for the well heeled only. (Thank you YouTube!, and audiophiles everywhere too!)
