99% of random choice GPIB-USB-HS sold on eBay are very well made fakes. If this does not present ethical problem, still, note that NI removed from their website some older frameworks that are required for installation on older Windows systems and would only provide the software via its FAEs to confirmed legitimate users.
End users get caught in the middle - it's very much like FTDI-gate. Keep that in mind.

Oh, and eBay Agilents are fakes too.

The only guaranteed real ones are still in the order of $1000. Or Prologix. Or KISS-488. Or you just got lucky.
