There is no good reason to need a Standardizer for the mainframe.The only reason to use it is if you have several plugins & you want to be sure that any plugin can be set to a calibrated state.The plugins are individually adjustable with their front panel gain adjustment.A standardizer merely assures that any plugin you install can be adjusted to the gain accuracy spec.The standardizer can also verify that the mainframe bandwidth is suitable so that any plugin will also meet its bandwidth spec.
