Seems that you swapped horizontal and vertical plug-in (in fact in the screenshot there's the time base readout on upper left).
Put the vertical plugin in LEFT (first) compartment and horizontal plugin in RIGHT (third) compartment. Central (second) compartment is for another vertical unit.
