I had a 475 which showed no adverse symptoms. However, when checking it out, I noticed that one input pin of the 458 on the -8V supply was not quite at zero: funny I thought, so out came the second scope to reveal that half the bridge rectifier was o/c so the raw dc ripple was very high. On the dips the regulator just ran out of puff, so the op-amp was going open-loop. The -8V was actuallly spot-on spec, dc-wise. It was, to coin a phrase, "on the cusp"
