***IMPORTANT FIX***
There is a new Firmware uploader online, it fixes a critical issue:
The motor in RA was not moving if you are using the version 2.3.x. The reason was that I made a mistake by copying the wrong Firmware...(it was the one from the version 2.2!)

A new Version is online.

I change the SPI speed to the motor to get a more reliable connection. The default value was for an Arduino not a Teensy, so I have to reduce the speed of the SPI interface to get it more stable.
The issue was in the TMC260 Lib delivered by Trinamic.

Time allowed lately to use my TeenAstro again.
However I have a strange potential Bug to report, which I did not encounter before.

Usage: Ascom and POOTH via SGPro

Night 1: Iris Nebula
Automatic Meridian Flip without any problems.

Night 2: Cocoon Nebula
Automatic Meridian Flip stops after roughly3 Seconds @800x (Same configuration since month, always working fine.)
Disconnecting and reconnecting Ascom Driver will give Error Message that system time is wrong.
Switching the TeenAstro Off and on does not help, the Computer needs to be restarted and start from scratch.
Continue imaging on the other side of meridian.

Night 3: Cocoon Nebula
Exactly the same as above.

From the Error I assume it´s a bug in the Ascom driver,, anyone had a similar experience?

Hi Stefan,

when you have the problem next time could you just reboot the PC without turning the TeenAstro off then it is clearly an issue in the POTH and or ASCOM driver. when the problem occurs, it would be nice if you try also to connect the Teenastro to carte du ciel without the POTH, then I can see if the problem is in the ASCOM driver or the POTH.

first of all I would like to thank you for the great work.
I have now built the mini version.
I noticed that everything in the display is shifted one pixel to the right and the pixel on the far right appears in the first position on the left.

Hi Hans-Peter and Tong,

As this effect doesn't always appear, it is important to me to understand why it appears. Hence I have some questions.
Was it the first time you have flashed the Wemos.
Could you try to disconnect the Oled, and connect it again.

Hello Hans Peter,

I am not sure how to fix that so please be patient.

The first thing we can check is to clean up the WEMOS D1 mini

for that please install the ESP8266Flasher.exe

and then follow the instruction on Astronomie.de

Hi Charles,

Both onstep and teenastro's SHC have the same error, which is a bug and does not affect the use. I choose to ignore it.

Hi,

is the Display a 1.3“ one?

I have some with a SH1106 and some with SSD1306.

There is a Pixel Shift in the SH1106 and you have to use a diff. U8glib.

please do not invest any work in this problem at the moment.
Another display has been ordered and I will then compare the two displays.
Since the error occurs only rarely, it will probably be found on the display. It's just a cosmetic problem...

Hi Hans-Peter,

now the root cause is clear: in teenastro only the OLED_SH1106 and OLED_SSD1309 are supported.

I will edit the wiki to make it more visible!

I can add support for the SSD1306 on the beta branch, then you will have to add 2 resistors.

most probably Tong have also an SSD1306.

Hi Andreas,

I have probably bought the wrong display.
It is a 0.96 "display, with SSD1306 controller, which is not supported.
So my mistake.

Hi Charles, as reported a week ago via mail: I continue to have hand controller issues. The SHC displays the startup logo follorwed by the version ID, then it goes blank. Focuser buttons keep working, but mount buttons dont as the scope is parked. You suggested adding some capacitor. But where? And which type and size? Appreciate any guidance.

Hello,

I don't if could be the same thing I have experienced, first time I have tested my teen astro sometimes the display become black. Actually I don't remember if the mount button were still working, but I fixed the problem.

I have the SHC with standard case from reichelt for small screen and the 3d printed top, there was a small space between screen board and the wemos so in some way they touched and the screen turned off. I covered the back of the screen board with insulating tape, and also on the wires of the shift button and now everything is fine.

For the wiring inside the SHC unfortunately I haven't found small enough wires so it was quite difficult to manage. Use wires smaller than AWG 22-24, this is the maximum allowed.
