Hi,

i need some help to modify  the main unit 2.4.1 with the teensy 4.0,

because i purchase 5 boards in november, and i don't want to throw them in a bin.

Hi, I would be happy with help too.
I think it should be possible to change the tension to 3V and connect the Teensy 4.0 with some wires to the changes pins ?

Hi Vincent and Detlef,

TeenAstro is a quite complex project to maintain.
We have board definition, firmware version and ASCOM/INDI drivers . I try to maintain all TeenAstro board and for that I need a clear scop what is outside.
I think it is a really bad idea to modify the old boards to support the Teensy 4.0, because I will not distribute any firmware for these modifications.
please do not under estimate the work that TeenAstro is : design, test, research how to solve the problem, modification of my hardware at home etc, etc...
And answering mails private or on the list.

That's why I have to fix some limits:
Everything that makes my work on TeenAstro even more complicate will be denied.

So sometime you have to pay more from your pocket, and buy the PCB again, it is any way cheaper than rebuying a Teensy because you made a wrong modification.
TeenAstro is Opened source that doesn't mean that it has no cost. I probably probably spend more than 2000€ in the project and I don't speak about the time :)
I have to update the larger Main Unit to support the Teensy 4.1 or Teensy 4.0. Currently I don't know what is the better choice
The more people contribute to the project the better is the deliverable.
When the community contribute to test it improves the stability
When the community contribute to the documentation it makes the project easier to understand
etc...

Sorry charles.
I thought it could be easy without changing the firmware.  I appreciate your work.  And you're right, it's easier with a new PCB.
