Hi everyone! Is it possible to find any information on where Soviet airborne divisions were supposed to be dropped? I know that they had a lot of airborne divisions and the main goals of airborne troops were cutting off the supply lines and keeping NATO reserves off Germany as long as possible. So where should they supposdely be used? On German-Dutch border? Thanks for help! Andrzej
Try looking at the Ike Skelton Combined Arms Research Library. Look at the electronic copy of Military Review October 1983. It deals with Soviet thought, use of, and the change of structure of the VDV units to better support a WARPACT offensive.
