TM-D710G TNC commands

I don't see an the PACKET manual or in the files I have looked through on here.   Is there a way to set connection text when someone connects to my TNC? You know, like instructions or a list of commands?  Compared to a TNC2 or BPQ, the Kenwood node has some unusual commands to get around.

It seems the main Kenwood Amateur Radio documentation search page at http://manual.kenwood.com/en_contents/search/keyword is broken.  Google'ing around, I did find an alternative site that has the packet manual:

   Starting at page 39 - https://www.cityofpaloalto.org/files/assets/public/oes/ares-races/kenwood_tm-d710g_manual_english.pdf

All of the TNC commands are there but I don't think it's possible to change the connection greeting.  The D710's internal TNC is decent to good but it's not great.  A Kantronics KPC3, Timewave PK96, or even software based TNCs like Direwolf or UZ7HO soundmodem will soundly beat it's weak signal performance.
