TM-D710G head on TM-D710A transceiver unit

Ok I have both a TM-D710A and a TM-D710GA.

The unit will not power on if the TM-D710GA head is attached to a TM-D710A transceiver body.

It looks like the TM-D710GA will not work with the TM-D710A transceiver body.

Does anyone know what the issue is?

From my reading these groups in the past, I believe the firmware in the head and the body needs to match.  That might be your issue as I thought the body for both was basically just a generic V71?

Interesting since I am doing this on a modern V71A body.  And I have been playing merry go round with V71A bodies and various heads so far and only the TM-D710GA head does not seem to work.
