D710 Transmit frequency

John

Hi,

A recent check of my D700 shows that the transmit frequency is off by about 3Khz on UHF
Is there an internal adjustment to fix this?

Thanks,
john

Kenwood TM-D700A service mode  Author: Steven Seeger
The TM-D700 A/E has a service mode that lets you adjust many parameters of the radio
NOTE:
Short pins 3 to 6 on the 6 pin data connector with cable assy (old mouse cable) for service mode

Kenwood TM-D700 service manual

AFTER SETUP, ADJUST UHF TC300 (CRYSTAL TRIM CAPACITOR, JUST RIGHT OF X300 XTAL)

NOTE:
3Khz on UHF XMIT ERROR ----------------- -+/- 3.000 Khz on UHF
SPEC:
+/- 3ppm error @ 446 MHz = +/-1338 Hz = +/- 1.338  KHz

Bonus
While you are there, consider changing menu power levels
