I have a 700 and am using the internal TNC as a fill in digipeater for APRS. I've set the Lat and Long and settings that I think should allow it to display proper location, but it puts the radio at Lat 0 and long 0 in the middle of the Atlantic off Africa. I've put the coordinates in Channel 1 and selected USE. Am I missing something or maybe I'm misreading this feature and the manual as for having this ability.
Are you saving it as a PM? If so make sure you've selected that
PM as the active one.

Hello yes if using the internal TNC and no GPS, you must set your lat/long manually in the menu! It should be under the APRS menu, I do not have the radio in front of me so I cannot direct you to the proper menu to set, sorry!
